Purpose:

This record series consists of the State University Retirement System administrative files maintained by the Office of Insurance/Health, Life, and Retirement.  The files contain a record of university employee participation in the State University Retirement System including information retained on leaves of absence and name/address changes.  Original records are maintained with the SURS headquarters in Champaign.
 

Procedure:

Retain in office until superseded and/or termination of coverage, then dispose of providing all audits have been completed under the supervision of the Auditor General, if necessary, and no litigation is pending or anticipated.
