Oral Defense of Dissertation Files

Purpose:

This record series consists of documents relevant to students pursuing doctoral degrees within the department.  The papers serve as an educational defense for dissertations.  In addition, the documents function as curricular prerequisite for post graduate programs. Data in the record series include a dissertation request, approval of initial application, and pass/fail score.  The originals are maintained by the Graduate School.
 

Procedure:

Retain in office for five (5) years following graduation or last day of attendance, then dispose of provided all audits have been completed under the supervision of the Auditor General, if necessary, and no litigation is pending or anticipated.
